Want a space to come and do your own workout?
Love the Pilates Equipment, but can't match your schedule to our classes? MindSpring is now offering open workout hours surrounding the usual class and client schedule!
Newcomers to the studio will pay a $49. initiation fee and set up a time to learn about the equipment usage and settings. This 1-hour slot includes an optional workout plan to get you going.
The monthly membership rate thereafter is $69.
Workout slots must be reserved on the weekly scheduler, but this reservation can be made up to 10 minutes before arrival. Reservation requirement is to avoid over-crowding within the studio space.
Current clients and class-goers will have the initiation fee waived, unless they desire a workout plan set up.
Reservations are set in 1-hour slots, however arrival at the top pf the hour or half hour is not required. Workouts can be more than one hour, as long as it stays within the daily open hours window.
Please note: This is not guided exercise. An attendant will be present to answer questions and observe for safety; however, no workout instruction will be offered past the initiation session.

Personal training is offered based on the individual's needs and fitness goals. Whether it's to work through deficits, supplement sports specific training, learn a new style of exercise, or just to have the studio and the trainer to yourself, the one-hour session will be specifically catered to you! Personal introductory sessions are set at a discounted rate, so that the initial portion of the hour can be used for assessment in alignment, mobility and strength, as well as discussion on recent injuries and chronic issues.
Small group or duet requests can be made for Pilates, Gentle Movement, Stretch or Beginner to Higher-level Weight or Interval Training.

Whether you've been practicing Pilates or would like to try it for the first time, there's a class that's right for you. Pilates classes are offered on the daily schedule to include Reformer only, or mixed Pilates apparatus circuit. Our "Intro to Pilates" class will teach the Pilates principles and how to use the equipment safely and effectively. The Intro class is required for those new to Pilates (prior experience elsewhere is accepted).

Interested in teaching Pilates? MindSpring is also a training center for those looking to start their journey as a certified instructor! MindSpring Owner, LeeAnn Silvey has been an Instructor Trainer for STOTT PILATES®, since 2007. Courses, Licensing Exams and Continuing Education Workshops run on various weekends throughout the year. Welcome to MindSpring. I'm excited to bring my knowledge to the Outer Banks, a place I've visited for many years and now call home! My journey in the fitness industry began 28 years ago as an athletic trainer for sports teams at the college level. That sparked my interest in formulating movement that helps motivated individuals integrate from rehabilitation back into functional movement and exercise. All of my personal and group instruction is based on that, moving the body as optimally as possible. I added Pilates to my toolbox in 2005 and became so passionate about it that I became an instructor trainer.
